Introduction
This is a game with the main Pokemon RPG mechanics for the Game Boy and other Nintendo systems, but with a different approach on Pokemon Island. It introduces a new concept of linearity for the franchise, where almost nothing is essential to move forward, yet there are still many challenges.
Prologue
“Previously, Pokemon Island was an island solely inhabited by Pokemon. There were very few people, mostly researchers like the notable Professor Oak, who studied the Pokemon on the island. However, three years ago, the existence of the Pokemon Mew was proven on the island.
Because Mew was such a rare Pokemon, it attracted a crowd of trainers seeking it, and the island soon became filled with them.
Many of these trainers were highly skilled and famous, while others came to challenge them. The island quickly became a major hub for battles, leading to the creation of many tournaments that also attracted a large number of viewers.
A lot has happened in the last three years, transforming the island into a great battleground: the Colosseum. Trainers were now classified according to their victories there.
Many new Pokemon have been discovered on the island, others were released by trainers, and some even made their way to stores. Most were discovered by explorers in places never before visited. Certain areas were created to increase the diversity of Pokemon, which grew more and more.
And this is the story of this place, Pokemon Island.”
